Who we are

Commencement

The Company commenced operation in 1994 with a vision and commitment to provide advance software solutions to corporate clients. The company concentrated on development of fully parameterised software systems that could be easily scaled to implement solutions that require extensive customisation. In other words, advanced systems were developed to adapt to its client’s requirement rather than the client adapting to the software system. The company segregated the software team for each industry that was aimed for development. This included the Hospitality Industry, the retail Market, Large Manufacturing Plants and a more generalised sector of Human Resource Management.

Our history

The company Texus Information Solutions (Pvt) Ltd, (TIS) is part of a group of companies of Texus with diversified interests from processed Foods to Garments. In the year 2005, the company invested over 70 million rupees on first phase of the office complex to base the head office and the customer service centre with state of the Art facilities. The Board controls the operations through the Chief Executive Officer of Texus Information. The new complex is situated at 248, Thimbirigasyaya Road, Colombo 5 with dedicated engineers on-call for 24 hours, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, for any support requirement. All staff are well trained in their specific fields and are committed to provide the ultimate solution to the clients. The company provides complete solution from consultation, System integration, network-specialised services, application software, hardware installation and 24 hour maintenance. Texus Information Systems (Pvt) Ltd, is a member of Sri Lanka Association for the Software Industry (SLASI) which is affiliated to the Federation of Information Technology of Sri Lanka (FITIS).

Human Resource Management

This division concentrates on software for human resource management for any type of organisation since it is fully parameterised. The systems come with a user definable screen and report generator. The payroll formulas and Payslip formats are completely user definable. The users could even include new fields to their master or transaction screen and modify the reports. The module includes a Time Card interface and electronic media output. Eagle Insurance Co. Ltd., leading and trend-setters in the field of Insurance chose TAURAS solutions for their staff payroll management system after exhaustive evaluations. Eagle Insurance is part of Zurich Financials, one of the largest insurers and asset managers in the World. In the year 2000, TAURAS was integrated with SAP financial software, largest software company in Europe. Locally TAURAS is supporting the 23 branches of Eagle Insurance islandwide and presently fully integrated with SAP.

Product Excellence - Hospitality Industry

The Hospitality Industry system was developed covering complete range of modules from Front Office Systems to Back office including Telephone and Electronic Door Locking Interfaces. The product gained trust and confidence within a very short period of introduction. Clients in the calibre of Ramada Colombo, Hotel Topaz & The Tourmaline – Kandy, Saman Villas,Best Western Chain, The Galadari Hotel, Taj Samudra, Ranweli Holiday Village Cinnamon,Wild Holidays Group,The Gateway hotel, Centuria Lake Resort, Mount Lavinia Hotel, Mermaid Hotel & Club are some of the satisfied users of the product. This division also includes software for Clubs and Restaurants.

Product Excellence - Retail Market

The Retail Market software includes modules from POS (Point of Sales) Software with swipe card and Bar code reading facilities integrated with Inventory control to Management Information System Modules. Elephant House (Ceylon Cold Stores) was one of the prestigious retail market clients who used POS and fully integrated Inventory management modules apart from numerous other small and medium scale outlets..

Product Excellence - Manufacturing Sector

This Division concentrates on software for complete management of Large Manufacturing processes and Plants. The Software is capable of capturing the sales projections from the marketing division, compute required material for production (the system manages all the formulas), check the availability of the raw materials in the plant and automatically generate Purchase Orders, Maintain complete track of materials from the raw, primary, secondary stages to final packing and finished goods stage. Research and development formula management and complete control of the Plant stock movement are just some of the numerous features of the Manufacturing System.

TAURAS Front Office Management System

Comprehensive Front office management system, rich in features that simply works. This sophisticated system is designed to be very user friendly but includes many levels of security and controls. The system takes control of every aspect of the work done in front office, housekeeping, rooms division and revenue management. Over 100 standard reports and a build-in report generator for additional report/MIS requirements.

TAURAS Restaurant Based System

Fully integrated Restaurant and Bar based systems that handles the entire waiter and cashier operations. Multiple KOTs/BOTs directing to specific specialty kitchens, Touch enabled Kitchen monitoring, multiple Happy Hour setting based on day of week and various times, direct integration to Front Office system and Inventory Management are some of basic features.

TAURAS Centralized POS Management system

Management of all outlets, articles sold, waiters, cashiers, happy hour settings, multiple pricing per item depending on location and all parameters centrally controlled and monitored. Enables the cost controllers to easily manage and take quick proactive decisions on pricing and promotions with the wealth of readily available reports.

TAURAS Inventory Management System

Controls the entire movement of Inventory within the property and provides instant indicators for optimal management of inventory for cost controlling as well as un-interrupted availability. All documents will be controlled from the system from PR,PO to GRN and movement within stores, kitchens, sellers and bar. Multiple electronic approval levels and comprehensive costing information makes inventory management a breeze.

TAURAS Accounts Receivable Module

Manages one of the vital part of the property management, that is to timely follow up Debtors with accurate invoicing. Rate contracts and offers are all programmed to the system eliminating errors. Collection Scheduling, reminders and periodic statements enables the receivable officer to manage Debtor balances to a minimum.

TAURAS Accounts Payable Module

Fully Integrated with Receiving / Inventory Management for vendor invoices to seamlessly flow into Creditors. Comprehensive management of vendors, credit limits, credit periods and grading. Automates all documents related to Creditor payments from vouchers, approvals and printing of cheques. Provides the necessary tools to comprehensively manage liability.

TAURAS General Ledger and Cash book System

Seamless flow of information from all other modules for a comprehensive management of all ledger and control accounts. Provides the overall management information apart from balance sheets, Profit /Loss Statements, cash flow statements and all reports related to general ledger. Provides amalgamation of multiple companies information into a single entity for reporting purposes in Group Properties.

TAURAS Fixed Assets Register module

All assets are managed with comprehensive details of each item from vendor details to service history and depreciation data. Supports both straight line and declining balance depreciation methodology. Depreciation amounts are directly updated into the general ledger for accurate management information.

TAURAS Event Management System

Manages all aspects of the Banqueting / Event Management from inquiry, reservations to function sheet or event orders. Every document related to banqueting from banquet contract, information to other departments, banquet invoicing, menus and even menu tags are included. Forecasting and utilization report enables the management to maximize the profitability of the available event venues.

Sri Lanka's iconic largest conference and exhibition center selects TAURAS ERP to manage the entire operations of this prestigious center from front office to back office after exhaustive evaluations. BMICH with 23 indoor and 12 outdoor venues is Sri Lanka’s largest and Asia’s very first purpose-built convention centre with ultra-modern facilities and now South Asia’s Premier Integrated MICE Complex. It had won accolades including the recent Gold award for South Asia’s Leading meeting and convention center for 2019.

The Wattura Resort and Spa in Waikkala, newest luxury hotel opened recently implemented the latest TAURAS ERP to manage its one billion investment property. Set up by Casa De Hotels and Resorts Group based in UAE Dubai, it is operated under its holding entity Nishat General. This Super Luxury hotel with 34 Suites is built on a 10 acre land out of which one and half acres is dedicated for water slides. The group has more properties in Goa and Bangalore and plans to expand luxury properties to other part of Sri Lanka in the near future

Known as the pioneers and one of the most successful luxury condominium developers, Trillium Residences ventured into the booming Hospitality Industry by starting their own brand Trillium Hotels. The group selected TAURAS ERP to manage this portfolio and implemented the solution to the first project in the heart of Colombo 7, with the opening of a 34 room Luxury hotel. Two more properties are in the pipe line to be opened soon.
